Corona Virus update for CJRC

Announcing the unanimous agreement of the National Development Panel, Rugby Australia along with the State and Territory Member Unions to postpone all Community Rugby until the first week of May, effective immediately.

This means all Rugby activities including training, trial matches, Sizzling 7s, Coach & Referee education events and SJRU Competition matches are cancelled until at least the first week of May.

Weekly reviews of the situation will be conducted and any changes to timing and plans will be communicated directly to Clubs and out to members. Also, the SJRU will provide further information on returning to training ahead of the commencement of SJRU competitions.

CJRC specific information

We are, like all families disappointed about the disruption. However, this is the right approach at this time.

We will look to Term 2 for a resumption of club activities including the remainder of gear hand out, training & game resumption and our social events.

We are still hopeful for a shortened rugby season and any rugby is better than none. Stay safe. Maintain your composure under pressure and patience with your family, neighbours and fellow club members.

And where you can…. “Keep Calm and Carry On.”
