Chatswood Juniors Kick Off the Season at Leichhardt Oval!
Rugby is back, and there’s no better way to kick off the season than with a big day of junior footy at Leichhardt Oval, home to Balmain Rugby and a ground that has seen many future stars take their first steps in the game. This Sunday, our Chatswood Junior Rugby Club players will take the field for an early round of pre-season action, setting the tone for what promises to be a huge year for Australian rugby with the visit of the British & Irish Lions!

Game Day at Leichhardt 1 Oval (Pitch 1)
Our young players are excited to get out there, shake off the cobwebs, and enjoy their first run of the year in a tri-tag format (Non-Contact)
Game Schedule:
🏉 8:30am – 9:00am – U6 / U7 Tri-Tag
🏉 9:05am – 9:35am – U8 / U9 Tri-Tag
🏉 11:50am – 12:35pm – U11 Balmain v Chatswood

More clubs are embracing Sunday rugby, giving families the flexibility to keep their Saturday sports commitments with soccer (football), netball, rugby league, basketball, and other activities. Kids can now enjoy multiple sports without scheduling conflicts, making rugby a great option for families looking for a Sunday Sport Activity.
If you’re considering rugby, come down for a trial! Chatswood Junior Rugby Club welcomes boys and girls aged 4+, offering a fun and inclusive environment for young players. We’re focused on growing the game in Chatswood, Willoughby, and surrounding areas, and this is the perfect year to get involved with a big season ahead, including a once in 12 year event when the Wallabies take on the touring British & Irish Lions Series.

🎉 9:00am – Jumping castles, waterslides & face painting
🌭 9:30am – The Wolf Den opens with a free sausage sizzle
🏃♂️ 9:30am – 10:30am – Minis Rugby Activities (U6-U9) – Skills, fitness drills, obstacle courses, sprints, passing & highball challenge
🏉 10:30am – 12:30pm – Juniors Rugby Activities (U10-U16) – Skills, fitness work, obstacle courses & challenges
🔥 10:00am – 12:00pm – Meet the Waratahs!
Max Jorgensen & Tane Edmed will be on hand to meet the kids, sign autographs, and share their rugby journey!
